Every Engine Is Already Warm

Overnight the desk sees a country already awake. Refining sits at 97.4% of capacity, fed by 13.84 Mb/d of crude output, with 207 Mbbl of gasoline stored and 3184 Bcf of gas in the ground. The last count of electricity made came in at 355 TWh. Crude stored sits at 429 Mbbl, enough to keep the pumps covered for now.

Don calls full utilization a demand story and says he was early to it. Franc says the regime changed while everyone watched the ships. Schad drew his line under the gasoline number and is finding the reason second. Underneath the burn, 158.86M people are employed: factory floors 12.61M, building sites 8.34M, temp desks 2.5M. Pay runs 37.6 an hour over 34.3 hours. Everything that burns is working.

The coyote's question is who gets carried when it stops.
